BONK! EP 2: Brooklyn Bagel Bakery
by Daniel Noguera
·
BONK! is a series in which we hope to highlight all of our favorite food, drink, and snack spots around the city. These are the spots we frequent at the end of particularly treacherous efforts: where the light has gone, and where the bonk is dangerously close.

Brooklyn Bagel Bakery was opened in 1953 and has warmly stood the test of time since. Tucked away on the corner of Beverly Blvd. and Roselake, this neighborhood joint has remained loyal to its quality and price points regardless of the many changes that have taken place in city around it. These days, it’s hard to find a spot that opens before 10, even for breakfast… so Brooklyn Bagel’s early opening time makes it a favorite for pre-ride fueling. You really can’t go wrong with any of their bagel offerings here, but we recommend the Lox Sandwich and a coffee. If not, treat yourself to a handful of $1.50 bagels. Hell, take one for the road.
